This film is compostable; it is made from the annually-renewable resource corn, instead of from petrochemicals. Field corn is arvested, broken down into its component chemicals and fermented. Some of these materials, like lactic acid, are converted into resins, which become plastic. This plastic can later be composed, and used to grow more corn.
